Description of project location: Lak lake is the largest fresh water lake in LakDak Lak province and the second in Vietnam after Ba Be lake, with surface area of around 600 ha. It is surrounded by traditional villages of M’nong people and jungle, within the administrative boundary of Lien Son townlet, Lak district, 56 km from center of Buon Ma Thuot city along Highway 27 to the South, and 140 km from Da Lat city – Lam Dong province. It’s demarcated by: – Yang Tao commune to the North; – Dak Phoi commune to the South; – Bong Krang commune to the East; – Dak Lieng commune to the West.
Objectives: As per the strategy and master plan on tourism development of Vietnam up to 2020, vision to 2030 Lak lake is defined as one of the 41 potential tourist places to be developed to national tourist places. Lak lake is invested to be a comprehensive tourist site with eco-tourism, cultural tourism, resorts, convention tourism, entertainment, forest eco-tourism,etc. In order to explore and preserve the landscape of Lak lake, reserve aqua products of Lak lake, protect natural environment, conserve and develop cultural values for sustainable development.

Legal basis for project development: – Decision No. 2473/QĐ-TTg dated 30/12/2011 by Prime Minister approving the Strategy on tourism development of Vietnam to 2020, vision 2030. – Decision No. 201/QĐ-TTg dated 22/1/2013 by Prime Minister approving Master plan on tourism development of Vietnam up to 2020, vision 2030. – Decision No. 2162/QĐ-TTg dated 11/11/2013 by Prime Minister approving master plan of tourism development of the Central Highlands up to 2020, vision 2030. – Directive No. 16/2016/NQ-HĐND dated 14/12/2016 by LakDak Lak People’s Council supplementing, amending some contents in Clause 3, Clause 4 Article 1 Directive No. 59/2012/NQ-HĐND dated 06/7/2012 by the provincial people’s council on Master plan on tourism development of LakDak Lak province up to 2020, vision 2030. – Decision No. 3124/QĐ-UBND dated 01/12/2011 by LakDak Lak People’s Committee approving the Planning scaled 1/2000 Lak lake tourist place.
Infrastructure of project location: Situated in center of Lien Son townlet of Lak district, with favorable infrastructure (road, electricity, water, communication, etc.) – Transportation system : inter-village roads connecting the villages of Jun, M’lieng with Lien Son townlet and the communes of Yang Tao, Dak Phoi, Bong Krang, Dak Lieng have been invested. – Water supply: from the water supply system of Lien Son townlet, underground water system and surrounding wells. – Power supply: from national grid. – Communication: telecommunication network is covered entire the district, convenient for all communications
Ability to provide labours for the project: Labour force of LakDak Lak province and Lak district is capable to provide professionals and workers for project.
* Incentive for land rent: – Land rent exemption during the period of basic construction, but not exceeding 03 years from the date of receiving the decision for leasing land. – Land rent exemption for 11 years after the time of the land rent exemption for basic construction.
* Incentive for corporate income tax: – Preferential rate of 10% for 15 years -Tax exempted for 4 years, reduced 50% of payable tax amount in the 9 following years.
* Incentive for import duties: – Duty exemption for imports to create fixed assets.
