Independent and group travellers are welcome at Yok Don. You can relax in our guesthouse or set up a tent near the headquarters which is close to the entrance to the forest. Here you can sit soaking up the atmosphere of peace and tranquility and enjoy local coffee and good foods.
Our friendly Vietnamese/English-speaking tour guides can show you the scenic beauty of Yok Don and tell you about traditional cultures of ethnic minority groups here in Buon Don District, Dak Lak province, which is famed for its spectacular scenery and ethnic diversity. Yok Don connects with a large stretch of forests of Cambodia. Therefore, for your safety and due to government regulations, it is compulsory for visitors to be accompanied by Yok Don National Park Staff while discovering the forests. Walking under the open canopy of dry deciduous dipterocarps and learning about the local fauna and flora under the guidance of an experienced staff should not be off your list.

🌳Night into the Wild (2 days 1 night)
A night in the forests helps you enjoy the atmosphere of Yok Don National Park to the fullest. This tour will take you through our semi-deciduous forest. The walk is shaded against the sun throughout the year. You can expect the activities as follows.
· 36 km walk in total (18 km per day) through dry deciduous dipterocarp and bamboo forests

🐘Elephant experience tour
Yok Don is the only place in Vietnam to successfully capture and tame wild elephants in the past. Understand the history of catching and taming wild elephants by M’Nong ethnic minority and you get to know a legend of Central Highlands of Vietnam. Captive elephants, once tamed, are regarded as a family member and they are well taken care of by their mahouts.

Yok Don is the first place to change from the tourism model of elephant riding to that of elephant-friendly activities in Vietnam. Join the tour and you can watch elephants being themselves in their natural habitat, practicing natural behaviors such as mud bathing, roaming, eating, skin scratching, etc. Plus, you can also listen to fascinating stories of each individual elephants, get to know the personality traits of the elephants. Additionally, you will also get an overview of the state of captive elephants and wild elephants in Dak Lak province and in Vietnam.
Elephants of Yok Don National Park are the last generation of captive elephants in Vietnam. In the early morning, mahouts go find their elephants, take them to have a swim or a bath and prepare them for daily tourist activities. Our elephants can roam off the chain in the forests and enjoy their favorite foods such as bamboo, bamboo shoot, forest crocus, forest plants, etc. Seeing our happy elephants will definitely make your day.
