Viet Nam, the world’s second biggest coffee producer after Brazil, will organize a national-level coffee festival from March 8-13 in its biggest coffee growing province to boost the development of the sector and export, the organizing board has announced.
The Steering Committee for the Central Highlands and the Dak Lak provincial People’s Committee have held a press conference in Ha Noi to introduce the festival with the theme “Converging quintessence – Promoting identity – Linking to develop”.
The organising board unveiled at the conference that this year's event will include the sixth Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, the Central Highlands Gong Culture Festival 2017 and the 4th investment and trade promotion conference in the Central Highlands region.
A wide range of well-prepared special programmes are scheduled during the festivals, offering visitors opportunities to enjoy Buon Ma Thuot coffee and experience the region’s gong culture.
The Central Highlands Gong Culture Festival 2017 aims to raise public awareness of introducing and preserving cultures of ethnic groups in the Central Highlands, especially the value of the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage of the Space of Gong Culture.
