A pilot flight for the service was initially carried out on April 12 by the Northern Vietnam Helicopter Company in collaboration with Military Hospital 105 and the southern city’s Department of Tourism.
The tour is set to offer short-range flights that allow visitors to gain a bird’s-eye view from the centre of the city to Can Gio island district. The total flight time will last for 30 to 50 minutes.
Furthermore, 60 minute-mid-range flights will provide visitors with the chance to admire sightseeing from the centre of the city and Can Gio island district to the eco-tourism area “Canh dong bat tan” (Endless field) in Long An province.
Moreover, helicopter medical service will also be introduced to tourists on this occasion.
The launching of the new services is part of the stimulating solutions offered by the Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry as it strives to recover after the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as preparing new tourism products.
