Dak Doa in Gia Lai Province is dubbed the “second Da Lat” in the north of the Central Highlands as it is home to beautiful and poetic pine forests. When winter comes, this place will “turn” into a vast pink grass hill.

In recent years, Dak Doa pine forest has become a tourist site attracting young people from Gia Lai and tourists from many other provinces. This area has romantic landscapes that can be compared with Da Lat city – a famous tourist center in Lam Dong Province.

In the last days of September and early days of October, visitors will be able to see the scenery of pine hills covered in mist at dawn in Dak Doa.

Dak Doa Pine Hill stretches along the road connecting Dak Doa town to Glar and Trang communes. The pine trees here are over 40 years old. It is very special that these old pine trees are up to 5-6m tall only. Many trees have a beautiful and unique shape, so local people call it the “bonsai pine forest”.

On weekends or holidays, this dreamy place attracts a lot of tourists. This is an ideal site for couples to take photos.

This 500-hectare pine forest is not only a “green lung” to regulate the climate in the region, but is also very rich in potential for developing eco-tourism.

In Gia Lai, in addition to Dak Doa pine hill, visitors can also find many beautiful pine hills such as Phan Dinh Phung and Ham Rong.
